In January 2019, Social Foundation launched a comprehensive awareness program supporting the Government of India’s “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This initiative was conducted in partnership with Shaheed Mangal Pandey Government Girls Post Graduate College, Madhavpuram, during a 7-day National Service Scheme camp.

Our multi-faceted approach included organizing a general knowledge competition and essay writing contest focused on “Increasing awareness in society through Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign” at Devi Ahilyabai Inter College, Village Lisari. The program culminated in a successful awareness rally in village Lisari, engaging local communities in discussions about girl child education and empowerment.

This campaign addressed critical issues surrounding gender equality, education access for girls, and social attitudes toward female children. Through interactive competitions and community engagement, we reached hundreds of students and community members, promoting the importance of valuing and educating daughters.
