Program 15: Bano Atmanirbhar Skill Development Program

On December 8, 2024, Social Foundation successfully concluded its “Bano Atmanirbhar” (Become Self-Reliant) campaign with a certificate distribution ceremony in Dausa Banjarpur village, Modinagar tehsil, Ghaziabad district. This comprehensive 30-day skill development program trained approximately 50 rural girls and women in sewing and beauty parlour services.

The program specifically targeted rural women’s economic empowerment by providing marketable skills that enable entrepreneurship and self-employment. Participants received comprehensive training in garment construction, tailoring techniques, and beauty service provision, addressing growing market demands in both sectors.

The certificate distribution ceremony, held at the Mini Secretariat Panchayat House, included distribution of sewing kits and beauty parlour equipment to graduates, providing them with immediate tools to begin their entrepreneurial journeys. This practical support addresses the common challenge of accessing startup resources after skill acquisition.

An exhibition showcasing garments produced during training demonstrated participants’ newly acquired capabilities while providing immediate market opportunities. This approach combined skill development with market linkage, ensuring training translated into economic opportunities for beneficiaries.
