Expanding our social impact into environmental conservation, Social Foundation organized a meaningful tree plantation program on August 16, 2019, following India’s 73rd Independence Day celebrations. The initiative took place at Smriti Van (Park) in Kondli-Ghadoli, East Delhi.
This program represented our growing commitment to environmental protection and climate change mitigation. By choosing the period around Independence Day for this initiative, we connected environmental conservation with national responsibility, emphasizing that protecting our environment is a patriotic duty.
The tree plantation drive engaged community members in hands-on environmental action, creating awareness about the importance of urban green spaces and individual responsibility in combating air pollution and climate change. Each tree planted represents a long-term investment in community health and environmental sustainability.
This initiative marked Social Foundation’s entry into environmental programming, demonstrating our holistic approach to community development that includes social, educational, and environmental dimensions.
